As an Asset Manager, you may want to integrate predictive content recommendations into any workflow by adding KnowledgeTree to custom object layouts in Salesforce. To do so, first contact your KnowledgeTree Support Agent to enable custom objects for you. You'll need to provide us with the object(s) that you wish to activate. Your Salesforce Administrator will then need to do the following:

  1. In Salesforce > Click Setup > Build > Develop > Visualforce Pages
  2. Click New
  3. Label: KnowledgeTree
  4. Name: Documents (e.g. “QualificationDocuments”)
  5. Enter the following into the Visualforce Markup tab
    <apex:page standardcontroller="<REPLACE_WITH_OBJ_NAME>__c" extensions="ktree.ApplicationBootstrapController" action="{!bootstrapPage}"docType="html-5.0" showHeader="false" standardStylesheets="false"><ktree:ApplicationBootstrap backingController="{!controller}"></ktree:ApplicationBootstrap> </apex:page>
  6. Save

Once completed, your Salesforce Administrator will have to edit the custom object's page layout(s) and install the KnowledgeTree Visualforce page. You will now be able to recommend content into any workflow.

NOTE: You can’t enable a custom object that doesn't have a master-detail or lookup field linked to an Account Object. In order to enable, please make sure this is present.
