The sharing feature with KnowledgeTree for Salesforce uses your default email client. You can change the default mail client your browser uses to your liking. Here we share how to set your default email client to Gmail.
Mozilla Firefox users, click here.

Safari users will require an extension such as Mail.to, Gmail This, or Gmail Notifier which can be found in the Safari Extensions Gallery.
Google Chrome users:
- If you previously installed any Chrome extensions to have Gmail handle email links, delete them. To do this, go to the menu in Chrome, then choose Tools > Extensions. In your list of extensions, look for ones like “Send From Gmail” or “Send Using Gmail” and click the trashcan next to each of these to delete.
- Using Chrome, log into your Google account and go to gmail.
- Look for the Protocol Handler icon all the way on the right side of the address bar. Click it.
- When prompted, choose the option for your gmail account to set it to open email links, then click Done.
** If you were unable to see the Protocol Handler icon , click the Chrome menu icon in the top right corner of your browser, and choose "Settings."
Click the "Show Advanced Settings" link at the bottom of the screen. Then click the "Content Settings" button under the "Privacy" header.
In the pop-up window, scroll down to the "Handlers" section and click the "Manage Handlers" button. Then select Gmail from the mailto dropdown, click "Done".
